The event will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
The Sailing Instructions and any additional documents are available either in the clubhouse or downloadable from this web site. Any changes to the Notice of Race will be incorporated into this online version and posted as a notice to competitors..
The official notice board is in the clubhouse's enclosed porch. Notices will be mirrored on the web site within 24 hours of being posted.

Excerpts from the NoR: Eligibility and Entry
The event is open to all boats of the JOG, Shark and PHRF classes.
Essex County PHRF Association Rules association rules are in effect, except that there are no minimum crew requirement.

Excerpts from the NoR: Fees
There will be no fee for the 2021 Thursday spring and fall series for SPSC members. A fee of $20 per series will be charged to non-members.
Excerpts from the NoR: Insurance
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a recommended minimum coverage of $300,000 per incident.

The racing area shall be centred at mark 0 (the start mark), approximately 1 nautical mile 25° magnetic from the end of the Pike Creek Channel on Lake St. Clair. Marks 1-8 will form an octagon, with each mark placed 0.75 nautical miles from mark 0.

Spring and Fall Thursday night series flags will be awarded for each class. The number of series flags awarded will depend on the number of entries.

Club Series Championship Perpetual Trophies will be awarded in each class for first place.
The Harold Asselstine Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the best spinnaker boat in SPSC hosted competitions. To be eligible for the trophy, a boat must be eligible for an award in a spinnaker division (PHRF or one-design) for at least four of: the Spring and the Fall Thursday-Night Series, the Open Series, the Invitational Regatta and the Harvest Moon Regatta.
All prizes will be presented at the Awards Banquet.
