SPSC Open Series
Thursdays of July 6th thru Aug 3rd
Note that the first Thursday in August is also part of the Open Series.
Five weeks of the best racing Lake St. Clair has to offer
and combining with the invitational regatta on the opening weekend.
Open to all comers.
Turtle Stampede & Sunday Series
Sundays of May 21st, Jun 18th, Jul 16th, Aug 20th (Pursuit Race), Sep 10th (Hospice Race), Oct 1st (Final Turtle Stampede) and Oct 15th (Cradle Robber)
An irregular series of point-to-point splendours. As everyone knows,
Sundays are for eking out the last hundredth of a knot of boat speed.
Dinghy Series

Each Tuesday will be a mini 420 regatta with
three short races followed by prizes (for everyone!) and a social.
We are inviting all members and non-members —
and there is no age limit - great for parents and
kids! We are especially interested in encouraging former SPSC junior
sailors and instructors to come out and get back on the water.
Weekend Regattas
SPSC Invitational Regatta
Saturday & Sunday July 1st & 2nd
A counter regatta for ECPHRF.
The traditional format of a long distance race on Saturday and two course races on Sunday.
Ontario Sailing Regional Championships Western Ontario
Saturday & Sunday August 5th & 6th
This will be the fourth Western Ontario regatta hosted by SPSC for
Lasers, Radials, Bytes, Club 420s and 505s.
SPSC Pursuit Race
Sunday August 20th
Free for club members. One class
with handcapping applied at your start.
Sail for Hospice
Sunday September 10th
Sail for Hospice is an annual event at
South Port that allows skippers to raise awareness and solicit pledges for our local hospice.
Harvest Moon Regatta
Saturday September 16th
This 23 nautical mile race is a ECPHRF counter,
Come into the clubhouse after the race for free beer and chili.
Awards are Class Flags along with the First to Finish,
Best Corrected
and First Shark to Finish (within PHRF C start)
Shark Frostbite Regatta
Saturday & Sunday October 28th & 29th
This regatta is sanctioned by the
Canadian Shark Class Association but it is not a counter.
