The Ontario Sailing Regional Championships are a new series of Ontario Sailing events. This will be the fourth Western Ontario regatta hosted by SPSC for Lasers, Radials, Bytes and Club 420s.

Members interested in using club 420's should reserve with the contacts listed below.


SPSC is a great sailing venue on Lake St. Clair. Competitors and their families are welcome to camp and make use of the club showers, kitchen, BBQs and fire pit.

Meals

The $50 entry fee include breakfast Saturday & Sunday, snacks on the water, and Saturday night dinner. Meals for non racers may be purchased at a reasonable price.

A $15 full meal package is available to coaches. RC volunteers eat for free.

Rules

1.1

This regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.

1.2

The official notice board is in the clubhouse's enclosed porch. Notices will be mirrored on the web site when possible.

Eligibility and Entry

2.1

The regatta is open to all boats of the Laser, Laser Radial, Byte and Club 420 classes.

2.2

Eligible boats may enter by completing the online entry form and paying the entry fee by cash or cheque at registration.

Fees

The required fee is $50 which includes meals.

Schedule

4.1

The registration periods are on Friday between 1800 – 2100 and on Saturday between 0900 – 1000. Payment of the entry fee will be accepted at either of these times.

4.2

The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race on Saturday is 1200.

4.3

The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race on Sunday is 1000.

4.4

No warning signal will be made after 1400 on Sunday.

Sailing Instructions

The Sailing Instructions are available either at registration or downloadable from this web site. Any changes to the Notice of Race will be incorporated into this online version and posted as a notice to competitors..

Courses

The courses will be windward/leeward between inflatable marks.

Scoring

Three races are required to be completed to constitute a regatta.

Prizes

Prizes will be for first, second and third place in each class.
