2017 Shark Frostbite Regatta

This regatta is sanctioned by the Canadian Shark Class Association but it is not a counter.
You are cordially invited to attend the Shark Frostbite Regatta, being held at the South Port Sailing Club.
Registration: Friday 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Skippers Meeting: 11:30 a.m. — First Start: 12:15 p.m.

1. Rules:
The race will be governed by these instructions, The Racing Rules of Sailing (2017-2020). and the Rules of the Shark Class.
2. Signals Made Ashore:
Will be from the clubhouse porch area.
3. Schedule:
RC will attempt as many races as possible over both days. No throw-outs.
4. Warning Gun:
Saturday 12:10 p.m. and Sunday 11:30 a.m.
No Warning Gun after 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
5. The Course:
The course will be windward/leeward, twice around and finishing downwind. The windward and leeward mark will be yellow cylinder-shaped inflatable marks. The start/finish and windward offset will be orange balls.
In the event of the classic "Miami Ontario" southerly, the last race of each day will finish upwind, twice around with a 5th leg.
A diagram of the race course(s) will be available at Registration and the Skipper's Meeting.
